12-12 What are the requirements for the cooling water quality of air compressors and aftercoolers in the compressed air station design specifications?

Cooling water for air compressors & aftercoolers must have suspended solids <100mg/L, pH 6.5-9, & be thermally stable. Circulating systems should follow GB50050-2007. Direct current systems must control discharge temp based on carbonate hardness.
Case Details

Answer: (1) The suspended solids content should not be greater than 100 mg/L.

(2) The pH value should not be less than 6.5 and should not be greater than 9.

(3) It should be thermally stable and meet the following requirements:

1) When a circulating system is used for water supply, the thermal stability requirements of water quality should be implemented in accordance with GB50050-2007 "Industrial Circulating Cooling Water Treatment Design Specifications". When soft water is available within the enterprise and the system is economically reasonable, the circulating system can be reused with soft water.

2) When a direct current system is used for water supply, the discharge temperature should be controlled not to exceed the requirements of Sheet 12-1 according to the carbonate hardness of the cooling water.
